The Sovereign Order of Malta and the Principality of Andorra signed today in Germany the Cooperation Agreement, the legal instrument that establishes the institutional framework for the promotion of joint initiatives both outside and within the Principality. The event took place within the Munich Security Conference, which brings together more than 70 countries each year to review the international agenda, after months of intense bilateral negotiations in a climate of cooperation.

The protocol signed today in Munich articulates the diplomatic relations signed on June 16 in Rome. In this sense, it represents a significant step in the strengthening of bilateral relations and consolidates the shared will to cooperate in a stable and structured way. In fact, the text of the document contemplates the implementation of specific agreements in areas of common interest, especially in the humanitarian, health, social and digital sectors, among others, with national and international projection.

The document signed by Grand Chancellor PaternĂ² di Montecupo and Minister Tor Faus is the instrument to promote shared projects for the benefit of the respective communities. It is also the mechanism to promote joint initiatives aimed at serving the most vulnerable people around the world through international cooperation based on shared values.

With this signature, Andorra and the Sovereign Order of Malta reaffirm their commitment to multilateralism, dialogue and peace, within the framework of international responsibility. The new Protocol not only opens new avenues of collaboration, but also lays the foundations for an even closer and more dynamic relationship in the coming years.

The Sovereign Order of Malta reaffirms also its commitment to bilateral relations with Andorra, hoping that this signature will lead to numerous concrete initiatives and projects that contribute to the common good. In this regard, it reiterates the availability of its Embassy in the Principality to continue working in a coordinated and constructive manner with the Government of Andorra at the service of society from the humanitarian principles that inspire diplomatic relations.
